Recently, Amanda's Models and Talent attended the prestigious Mille Lewis Actors, Models & Talent Competition held in Orlando, Florida. Agency and school owner, Amanda Kirk, is a Regional Director for AMTC. The event is the safest and most productive path to pursue this industry. It opens dozens of doors to top decision makers at once versus one at a time.
More than 80 agents were on hand to judge 23 different categories in modeling and talent competitions such as Monologue, Singers (Broadway, Pop, Gospel, and Country), Dancing, Scene Study, Improv, Stand-Up Comedy, Television Commercial, Photography, Swimsuit, Individual Runway, Creative Runway, Family Runway, Cold Read, and Spokesperson competition.
Along with competing every day, there are over 24 hours of workshops held which are taught by the leading agents and casting directors in the industry today.
AMTC is much more than a modeling, acting, singing, or dancing opportunity, it is a life experience. It's a giant career week that takes place after months of training. It is a self-confidence developer, where each individual is challenged to be his or her personal best.
The group from Amanda's Models and Talent hosted several fundraisers to help with expenses, such as the Mother/Daughter Tea and Vintage Fashion Show, the Spring Fashion Extravaganza at Mathis Auditorium, two Sonny's Barbeque Lunch and Dinner drives, and washed several cars. They also rehearsed weekly, both in class at Amanda's Models and more than 24 hours of workshops included in their AMTC package. The week long event concluded with an "Emmy-Style" Awards banquet. It was a special time for the participants to reflect back on their week.
